Action plan
I am aiming to achieve a B ( 70 marks ). In the next 2 weeks I plan to have all my photo's taken for my models and a rough cut of the product. My cover suit will be done on wednesday and I will will organise the photos to be taken either at the end of this week of the start of next week. I know the models well so organising this will be easing. I have good access to props as I am in a band and the models wear the same style of clothing. I have an acoustic guitar , an electric guitar , one amp and a microphone for the bands props (those are mine). I also have a parker jacket and shirt in case the models dont.
I also need to edit my feedback post and discuss how colours will effect my flat plan. I also need to analyse a second DPS in more detail. The prelim task will uploaded too.

Risk assesment
Photo 1
For the first studio photo , the risks are -
wires lying across the floor
The risk is tripping
This can be avoided by taping the wires down with masking tape.
Photo 2
For the contents photo in the record studio , there are no risks.
Photo 3
The article photo under the abandoned railway bridge there is only one risk -
Risk one- Falling debris because the bridge is old.
This can be avoided by checking the bridge first then only staying under it for the duration of the photo.

Constructing my article.
Layout , fonts and colour.
For my article only a small section of the text will be on the DPS ( Im trying to concentrate more on the image ). The text will start off with a large capital and the rest of the text will be small and in a colour that contrasts the background image. The text will be split up into 3 paragraphs starting with the introduction , band profile , and interview.
Tense , style and format.
For the text on the page , it will be a 3rd person introduction and profile about the band. I will introduce the band to the reader , give them a little taster of the sort of music they play. I will then introduce the situation ( why they came down , their live session in the studio , their names ). This part will be Informative but slightly less formal.
For the band profile I will give the reader the band history (when they formed , what style of music , where they are from , albums they have released ect ). This part will be informative.
I will follow with a few Q and A's /interview in first and second person. For example - "how big did you expect your band to become?" , "we never expected it to ever be as big as it is now". It will be slightly comical but at the same time informative. We will talk through their influences , how they started out , their previous albums , what they are working on now ect. One answer will appear as a quote on the opposite page. The quote will be quite large and in coma's.
Images
One image will take up the entire background and sit behind the text. The image will be visible while reading the text behind. The location of the image has not yet been decided but it will either be a outdoor or all white picture with the people appearing on the left hand side to make room for the text. It will all be done so the colour scheme works. I will also include 3 or 4 other images below the text. These will be of album covers , live session and a gig.

The 3 articles I researched
I have researched 3 different articles from magazines and looked at style and narration.
The first I looked at was an article from Kerrang about You me at six. The enlarged quote below the singers is in first person. The article however is not a interview and is written in 3rd person. It is generic and gives an overview of the lead singer Josh Franceschi and the band. Its written in a comical way and isnt formal.
The second article is from UPFRONT. This magazine article is very formal and is also the writers opinion. The opinion is suggesting this is not his style of music therefore this article is written in first person.
The third article I looked at was the muppets one. This is written in both 3rd and 2nd person. The article is a little informative but is written to be comical and fun to read. It talks about the films history and shows how much has changed over time.

How those images will effect how I take mine.
The use of 1/3's will effect my photography for my DPS and contents page however I am sticking with a close up for the cover. The images have made me think about clothing for my images and I will use appropriate clothes and props that will relate to the style of music my magazine resembles.
It has made me think about background too. I want the focus to be on the artist/artists in my photos so I will use a white background for both the cover and DPS and instead use appropriate props and clothes.

Image analysis
There is no background on this photo suggesting the focus sound be on just them. This is a medium close up of all three however there position each is different. The man at the front isnt the tallest but looks like the most important because he's at the front suggesting he is lead singer. The others are behind suggesting they play instruments and aren't as important.
The way they are dressed illustrates rock and roll and indie genre. For example black clothes and long hair.
This image is also a medium close up with the rule of thirds applying. Its shows that he has power and importance suggesting he is most likely the lead singer. The use of clothing shows the style of music ( indie ) and this is also demonstrated with his hair. The hair is messed up and sort of rock and roll. The background also plays and important role. Its a brick wall suggesting he's a teenager who has grown up being out a lot.
